LEARNING OBJECTIVES

At the conclusion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Recognize HCL and its associated disease burden, including incidence, prevalence, and ongoing impact on the patient
  • Select appropriate treatment options for patients with HCL that has progressed following standard first-line therapy
  • Assess treatment outcomes for patients with HCL through clinical and paraclinical parameters to determine complete/partial response
  • Engage patients with HCL to ensure that they make treatment decisions in alignment with their goals of therapy

TARGET AUDIENCE

This activity is intended for hematologists/oncologists, primary care physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses, and pharmacists involved in the care of patients with hematologic malignancies such as HCL.

ESTIMATED TIME TO COMPLETE

This activity consists of one session which should take approximately 1 hour to complete.

METHOD OF PARTICIPATION

There are no fees to participate in this activity. To participate in the activity, go to www.OMedLive.com. To receive credit, participants must (1) read the target audience, learning objectives, and disclosure statements, (2) complete the educational activity online, and (3) complete the post-test and activity evaluation. To receive AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™, participants must receive a minimum score of 70% on the post-test.

Participants will need a computer with a recent version of Adobe Flash installed, as well as an internet connection sufficient for streaming media.
