    Marco L. Davila, MD, PhD, is a medical oncologist in the Department of Blood and Marrow Transplantation at the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center & Research Institute in Tampa, Florida. Dr Davila’s research focuses on utilizing cell therapies to treat patients with hematologic malignancies. Specifically, his research is dedicated to developing gene-engineered T cell therapies that target cancer cells in animal models of cancer, with the goal of identifying optimal cell therapies that can then be evaluated in cancer patients. Dr Davila earned his MD and PhD degrees at the Duke University School of Medicine, and completed his training in medicine and medical oncology at the New York Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medical Center and the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, respectively.
